Raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Kevin Andrew Ketcham got his start in acting at age fourteen at one of the most prestigious fine arts high schools in the nation, Germantown High School. Kevin studied for the next four years in the Boleslavsky and Stanislavsky method under the tutelage of his first mentors Frank Bluestein(1998, USA Today top 40 teachers in the U.S, 1996 Disney and McDonald`s Performing Arts teacher of the Year.), and Leonid Mazor (producer and director of the Student Theatre at the Moscow Technology University in Russia.). During his tenure at Germantown high School, Kevin also had the privilege to train with Tony Montanaro (protégé of Marcel Marceau), and famed fight master David Leong.
The pedigree of training and discipline cultivated at the Poplar Pike Playhouse at Germantown High school has produced some of America’s greatest talent over the last three decades, including: Chris Parnell (SNL,Anchorman, 30 Rock), Missi Pyle (Big Fish, Dodgeball, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Scott Genkinger (Emmy award winning head casting director of Desperate Housewives), Wes Day (Blue Man Group/New York).
Kevin continued his acting training while studying at the University of Memphis under his third mentor Darius Wallace. http://phildariuswallace.com/. Utilizing the Shurtleff, and Adler techniques, Darius shifted Kevin’s training to tackle the world of film by including camera acting techniques, cold reading, audition techniques, and scene and script analysis, as well as body movement and awareness.
Kevin had the esteemed privilege to work with Jean Dujardin, Berenice Bejo and Michel Hazanavicius on the Academy award winning film The Artist. His screen dance scene was featured on such shows as Piers Morgan, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, as well as many industry awards programs. Kevin recently had the privilege to improv with Conan O` Brien for a hilarious segment on late night with Conan O` Brien.
